Plug 'n' Play
Were there such a thing as Glamour-Motive magazine, I would wager this photo would NEVER be selected to appear in its glossy pages ;-)
I first considered as a title for this image, the motion picture inspired “We don’ need no stinkin’ loco-washes!”
I still like that title, but decided to go instead with “Plug ‘n’ Play.”
This unlikely pairing of dusty diesels, CSX 2686, an EMD GP-38-2, and its partner, a lowly yard shunter,
are certainly an “odd couple,” but plug their MU cables together and they run “as one,” and get the job done.
“Felix” and “Oscar” were seen shunting cars in the CSX yards in Baltimore’s Canton industrial area on a late winter afternoon in 2011.
