a refreshing moment

It’s a late spring morning in Washington, and the East Fountain at the Navy Memorial is
a pleasant place to dally, before heading into one of the office buildings for a meeting.

The pigeons had the far better deal – they got to luxuriate in the sunshine
for as long as they wanted, in one of Washington’s more spectacular bird baths.

My trusty little Rollei Prego Micron was along on that day, and I liked the way its very nice
Schneider 30mm wide angle lens allowed me to compose the scene, and pleased at how well
the back-lighting and colors were captured by that lens and the Kodak Ektar-100 film.
