"So, Wallingford, d'you think we ought to scatter?"
"Most definitely not, Myrna. We were here first!"
"Yeah, an' I'm still hungry - How 'bout you, Jake?"
"OK, youse guys, let's wait two more seconds an' blast off all around 'em!"

Pigeons...Pedestrians...An impending matter of right-of-way, mere seconds to decide ;-)

Ansel Adam: "It is my intention to present - through the medium of photography - intuitive observations of the natural world which may have meaning to the spectators."
A motif that fascinates in its simplicity. Fascination because nothing in that scene refers to New York, the city that never sleeps. I would have placed this scene everywhere, but definitely not in New York. A lot of pidgeons. On my side of the Pond, in my country, they are not welcomed at all, and everything is done to get rid of them (of course the animal protection rights are taken into account).
